Bellmont

Bellmont cut the runeblade sharply against the cold sky of the Northrend, a black shockwave tearing through the frozen ground like a dagger through tissue paper.

Indeed this suited him well.

"King Arthas will no doubt be pleased to hear of your... defection... Lord Neven." spoke Darion Mograine, a clear hint of sarcasm within his voice.

"You doubt my altered loyality? Of what decent citizen of Lordaeron would I be to listen to some rotting High Elf hag then my true-blooded King." hissed Bellmont,

"Perhaps... though this poltery some of Forsaken you have slain proves little.... as it would seem you hold your allegiance elsewhere as well do you not?" spoke Darion Mograine,

Bellmont cackled,
"Surely you do not mean that pathetic group of axe wielding marauders? Bah! They're strength died with their last Warchief. And in the chaos they elect that corpulant shapeshifter in lake of true leadership..." hissed Bellmont, a hint of jealously in his tone.

"Interesting... the Forsaken will require a more varified set of information... but these aged marauders shall be a simple test of your loyality to the Lich King now won't it?" said Darion Mograine with a bone-chilling cackle.

"If his majesty so wishes it I will exterminate them as well. They are not however to be underestimated... I will require some aid." explained Bellmont,

"When your training is farther along, we shall make a move. However our eyes inform me that one of those second war echoes has come here searching for you." informed Darion Mograine.

Bellmont grinned,

"Most excellent... I shall show them the right to leadership is mine." hissed Bellmont, whistling to his loyal warhorse, Bayne.

"The gargoyles will guide you. Perhaps I was wrong about your intentions... though I doubt it... Nightbringer." said Darion, riding off into the howling winds.

Bellmont turned and followed the two gargoyles who flew high up, just barely keeping in eyeshot.

"A most convincing speech, Grand Executor." Varimathras voice echoed in Bellmont's mind.

"I'm no doubt the Queen will be offended at the mention of such personal attacks. Reguardless, a decent preformance none the less though. A pitty though your little Grin will have to suffer... some casualties." said Varimathras within Bellmont's mind. A short laugh echoed thereafter.

"Bastard." hissed Bellmont aloud.

Unfortunetly, the death of this scout would be a nessecary conclusion. Perhaps even a minor attack on Stonard. He doubted he'd ever regain the Grin's trust after these actions, in particular Yagyu's, however this mattered little.

The death of Arthas is somthing he would see come to pass. Reguardless of how dark the road to this outcome would be.

Meanwhile...
"This is the last time I come on one of your little adventurers, Sinderion." complained Craven.

"Oh quit your whining. You owe me and you humans are better built for this weather then myself." responded Sinderion as the two made it down the treacherous mountain pass into the Grizzly Hills.

"Bellmont was he?" Craven thought for a moment, "If I recall that was another noble family in the Alterac Mountains. Never knew what happened to them. But, given our current situation, nothing to good I'd imagine." said Craven.

"It seems the sun is starting to peak out. Two days is enough by my concern. Lets get back to your vesssel. We'll sleep there for another night then try one last time." said Sinderion as the pair descended down the mountain pass toward the bay.

As the two entered the camp they where given a eerie sight. The men that had accomanied them where gone. There tents empty, the lanterns out. Darkness and wind.

"Well... this is comforting..." muttered Craven, drawing his claymore. A bright white flame soon enshrouded it, illuminating a small area.

Sinderion drew two arrows and shot up into the air, startling Craven.

"Now why'd you do tha-" started Craven, an explination was presented with two gargoyles crashing to the ground and exploding into tiny black shards.

"Most impressive.... Ranger, I can see now why she thought you a suitable replacement... reguardless... you are no match for me!" cackled Bellmont, leaping from the shadows and bringing down his runeblade, causing the area around him to wither and die.

Craven quickly followed suite by driving his claymore into the ground, a bright concencration shooting forth and battling the death and decay caused by the runeblade.

"My my... so you brought a Paladin... still it will do you no good... I will drink in your suffering, Ranger. It may be better for you to simpily end yourself now, for you are not even the slightest comparsion to the--" an arrow caught Bellmont in the shoulder, causing him to stumble backwards and step on an explosive trap, rocketing Bellmont a few feet into the air.

Sinderion wasted no time in firing several flamming arrows into Bellmont's armor. Though the the flame made them unnable to be shot with the preciseness needed to perice such thick plate armorments, they still jammed thickly within the armor and burned brightly, showing quite clearly where Bellmont stood.

"They say overconfidence salts the road to ones own destruction, Sythegar. That and what appears to be infatuation with your own voice." hissed Sinderion.

The two charged eachother, Sinderion purposely leaping on a slick spot of ice on the snow and sliding between the legs of Bellmont, allowing numerous shots into the former Spymaster's back.

"It would seem I underestimated you... no matter." cackled Bellmont, rushing with a sudden jolt of speed and slashing at Sinderion.

Barely doding it, Sinderion drew his two handed axe and barried Bellmont's runeblade. Craven quickly came to Sinderion's aid. Bellmont whirled around as he clashed blades with the two.

With a sudden jolt of unholy power, Bellmont strangulated Craven, choking him with dark magic and throwing him into the snow nearby.

Sinderion whirled around and kicked Bellmont in the face, quickly retreating back and turning to face the recovering Death Knight.

"Your not use to that heavy plate, are you?" chuckled Sinderion as he twirled the arrow he drew, shooting it with deadly percision.

With barely enough time Bellmont brought up his arm to block the arrow. It tore through the thick plate, the arm, and out the other side. The arrow head close enough to draw blood right between his two eyes.

Bellmont growled, his patience was spent. Whirling around he flung his runeblade, the large sword driving itself through the Ranger, Sinderion completely caught offguard by the move.

Sinderion lay bleeding on the snow as Bellmont looked over him, stepping on his chest he ripped the runeblade out and chuckled. As Sinderion attempted to stand, Bellmont stomped on his chest.

"Don't move, you'll tear that wound wide open." hissed Bellmont.

Hearing movement, Bellmont brought up his runeblade to parry a sudden attack from Craven.

Sliding back, Bellmont chuckled. Whirling his cloak around he disappeared in a veil of shadows.

Bellmont grinned. If his replacement was strong, then he'd have no problem surviving the blow. It was a pitty of Stonard's eventual fate, yet part of him wanted to duel Yagyu, to perhaps silience that over-loyal Warlord.

The Plaguelands
Three Days Ago

Bellmont walked upon the road from Stratholme atop his loyal warhorse, Bayne. However he was not alone, another Forsaken halfbreed with numerous books followed him closly.

"So tell me, Raminus, is there any reason in particular you seem so confident in following me?" asked Bellmont casually, his voice comming with a dark echo, perhaps due to to it resonating on the black plate armor he wore, perhaps for more sinister reasons.

"Twas you who are my commander and savior, Lord Bellmont, I serve you foremost." explained Raminus,

"Well, good to see some still remain loyal. I will continue to require your services. I'd be unable to command an army without you handling the minor details." noted Bellmont as the two continued on the road.

"Thank you, Lord Bellmont." responded Raminus, thrilled at the recognition.

"Well, your my tatician, what is your suggestion for our next move?" asked Bellmont.

Raminus thought for a few moments,

"Well, there is a battle brewing, we must choose carefully who we side with." said Raminus.

"You can possibly be suggesting siding with the Scourge?" said Bellmont in astonishment.

"We are in a rare position of oppertunity to gain the Scourge's trust and use it wisely. Our own goal is--" Raminus was cut off mid sentence.

"I do not wish to damage either the Grin or the Forsaken. Still, if this investigation is to continue we must at least demonistrate some form of psuedo loyality... the Scarlet Crusade wouldn't due... hmm... the Argent Dawn... we will cut at their heels." deceided Bellmont.

"Very well. I shall push the troops to attack their outpost near the Marris Stead, yes?" inquired Raminus.

"Very good. Leave only enough alive to tell the tale." ordered Bellmont.

Raminus nodded and roded off, holding off his staff and allowing it to glow brightly, pulsing with Necromantic energy, he ordered the small group of Scourge to march.

Bellmont trailed behind. Admiatbly this is perhaps why the Scourge had so much sucess, such good soldiers. They have no questions, no fear, walk into the line of fire on little more then a whym.

He watched as Raminus brought down magical on the various warriors of the Argent Dawn. Upon seeing a large distress flare shoot up in the air, Bellmont prepared himself. Something told him help would soon arrive.

Not far upon the thought of possible renforcements had the sound of horses rang in ear. Turning he met three Paladins, each of apparntly some rank within the Dawn.

"Ah, good evening. Your friends are already dead. Leave and save your lifes. I have no quarrel with you." spoke Bellmont.

The three Paladins dismounted, so Bellmont did the same.

"Monster, you know not to who you speak. We are the aids of the Grandmaster of our Order himself." barked the center and apparnt leader of the trio of Paladins.

"Really? Well, perhaps I can gauge the old man's strength by that of his squires." chuckled Bellmont, drawing his runeblade.

"Sorry to disapoint you, but Fordring is of a league of his own." hissed the Paladin.

"Well then, your lives will be spent worthlessly now won't they. A pitty." said Bellmont.

The three Paladins charged at him, Bellmont parried the there blows easily, not even needing to hold his runeblade with both hands for it's full effect.

Their weapons bounched off his ebony armor. One of the Paladins let out a desperate prayer, empowering his weapon with Holy magic.

The weapons seemed to perice his armor, growling Bellmont gribbed both his blades and lept in the air over the Paladins. He held out his and closed it in a fist, dark energy choking one of the Paladins.

The two undisposed Paladins charged Bellmont, muttering some dark words Bellmont let forth a sinister bolt of unholy energy, knocking back another Paladin.

Swiftly moving out of the way of the Paladin's strike, he extended his hand and gripped the Paladin's throat.

"You conceited, wretched waste." he hissed, throwing the paladin into his currently strangling comrade.

The Paladin hit by the Death Coil came to his feet, barely recovering Bellmont rushed over to him, bashing him in the head with the hilt of his runeblade.

The Paladin fell to his knees, sticking his sword in the ground to help support him.

"B-bastard.. how the hell do you move so quickly in so much armor... abomination..." the Paladin hissed, spitting on Bellmont's boot.

Bellmont lifted his runeblade to lay the final strike on the wounded Paladin, but suddenly a holy light healed him. Two more healed his allies.

The three Paladins stood to address Tirion Fordring.

Raminus then blinked forward to aid Bellmont.

"Your dismissed, Knights." said Tirion Fordring, pointing to his squires.

"B-but sir." insited the three.

"Now, Lord Bellmont won't raise a hand to me now will he?" said Tirion Fordring.

"How dare you speak in such a tone! Do you know to whom you speak! Lord Bellmont, shall I destroy him." said Raminus

Bellmont remained silent, looking at Tirion Fordring.

"Lord Bellmont..." said Raminus, asking him again as if he had failed to heard his plea for action.

"Leave the troops... get the horses... now." ordered Bellmont,

"Sir... but... bah.. very well." said Raminus, reluctantly following Bellmont's order to stand down.

"Well if it isn't the Queen's... Black Knight in this cases would be a suitable term I'd think." said Tirion, chuckling at his own remark.

Bellmont didn't respond, partially out of fear.

"Don't play me for a fool boy, I know very well what your doing. As the Forsaken have aided the Dawn in the past, and any Dawn you've killed haven't been dead long enough not to bring back, I'll let you live. However... if this occurs again, I'll purge you from this spot. Understand, do you boy?" warned Tirion Fordring.

Bellmont nodded reluctantly.

"Good, now begone from my sight." ordered Tirion Fordring, Bellmont quickly slipping away and mounting, riding off with Raminus.

"Well... it would seem mi'lord it would require a greater feat..." said Raminus.

Bellmont sighed deeply...

"Go to the Undercity... let us find what Slyvanas intends for me... and the Grin..." commanded Bellmont.

"Yes, mi'lord." said Raminus,

"I shall venture to Stratholme for the time being... might as well take the oppertunity to visit some family." said Bellmont with a chuckle.

Raminus lifted an eyebrow at Bellmont's remark, but complied with his order, teleporting away to the Undercity.

Bellmont then patted Bayne and rode off toward Stratholme....

Present
Stratholme

"Crusaders... I am convinced that they are a unique lot amongst the humans. My theory is that they lack higher brain function, unable to logically assess a situation and calculate an outcome. One has only to make mention of the Light to get them frothing and battle ready - at which point they will rush headlong into any engagement with complete disregard for their own well being." said Baron Rivendare.

"My sentiments exactly... utterly foolish bastards. Quite spirited though, I'll give them that much. They're quite found of fire and burning or so I've noticed." added Bellmont.

The two Death Knights where interupted as the spot in front of them pulsed with magical energy. Upon it being ripped upon Raminus stepped out and bowed.

"It would seem Sinderions survived your Lordship. Lady Slyvanas wishes an audience with you and also Ashenrock. Seperatly of course. It would seem they responded to the news with threats of violence, and the one called Yagyu seemed to be thrilled with his confirmed suspcions of inevitable treachery." informed Raminus,

"Ah, well that was to be expected." said Bellmont,

"If you intend to attack the I'd be more then happy to offer you a collum of troops, Neven. No one ever comes here any more, and when they do just a few Blood Knights who vandalize the church." said Rivendare,

"Thats just tasteless" said Bellmont,

"Indeed... strange right? Holy Ground it may be but it's nice seeing something not on fire for once. Starts to get a tad irriating after awhile. At any rate, unless you wish to just march them across, use this summoning circle, your acoylte could probally handle it." said Rivendare, tossing Raminus a dark looking crystal.

"Thank you, Rivendare. Give my reguards to the Highlord." said Bellmont,

"Will do, good seeing you again, Neven." said Rivendare, bowing slightly as the two exited city.

Upon exit Raminus turned to Bellmont with a perplexed look on his face,

"Your list of contacts is very wide indeed, Lord Bellmont." said Raminus,

Bellmont shrugged,

"Brother in law... long story. At any rate, hopefully these soldiers won't be nessecary. Still, it is good knowing there will be fodder for an escape. Something tells me I won't be able to reason with Yagyu however." said Bellmont, sighing.

"I would agree, Lord Bellmont. He did seem.... quite enraged. I did attempt... to defend your name. Though these where futile in effort." said Raminus.

Bellmont nodded in respect and thanks for the attempt albit the futility.

"Well, at any rate, create a portal to the Undercity please. I would wish to speak to the Queen first." said Bellmont.

Raminus nodded, muttering some moments. A portal to the Undercity ripped open in front of them, the two walked through.

After several moments, Bellmont reached the Royal Quarter, entering it and kneeling before the Queen. Raminus standing at the gateway to the quarter.

"Arrise, Grand Executor. I appreciate your personal scrafices for your efforts to attempt to turn his Generals against him." proclaimed Queen Slyvanas.

"Thank-you, your majesty. My apologies for the damages to our opperations, they where nessecary in order to convince the Highlord of their order of my loyality." said Bellmont.

"We understood. They're sacrafices where not in vein. It seems however that is unfortunetly not all that has been asked according to your Lieutenant." proclaimed Queen Slyvanas.

Bellmont nodded depressed.

"As you are no doubt aware, I will meet with your Warchief in order to... perhaps create better relations with this sect. Providing he is indeed more intellectual then the previous... Warchief." proclaimed Queen Slyvanas,

"Infinetly so, your majesty." added Bellmont, smiling under his helm at the fact that somewhere Yagyu squirmed in his sleep at the sensing of such a remark.

"I cannot believe we are going to such lengths to reason with such uncouth dogs." hissed Varimathras from behind Bellmont.

"The Blackooth Grin as yourself have said Varimathras, is a nessecary tool if we wish to continue this relationship with Thrall." proclaimed Queen Slyvanas.

Bellmont smirked under his armor.

"Athousand thanks for your consideration on my suggesteion, your highness." Bellmont said, bowing to humble himself.

"None are needed, Grand Executor. Perhaps if this Dread Horde grows in strength we'll be able to put off this relationship with... the 'peace-chief' I believe it was called." proclaimed Queen Slyvanas.

Bellmont smiled, delighted at his Queen's use of what she would most likely consider barbaric vocabularly.

"You are now dismissed, Grand Executor. Head to Deadwind Pass, in which I leave the next step in your hands. We will however be unable to explain until l am confidence this... Ashenrock can be trusted with the information." proclaimed Queen Slyvanas.

Bellont bowed deeply,

"By your leave, your highness." said Bellmont as he left, venturing from the Undercity with Raminus, gathering various supplies as they began on a very familar journey with an outcome that would be unknown.
