It was cold in Coldara, Shadiel had never liked that about Northrend from the first time he had entered. Tonight though there was no thought of the frozen surroundings chilling his flesh to his armor. He looked out over the Grin with a fierceness of one focused on a mission that they refused to lose. Much was at stake in this war with Malygos. The Blue Dragon of magic’s attempt to steal all magic from Azeroth would need to be stopped. The implications of those who used magic would be disastrous; Casters in general would be destroyed but the entire race of Blood Elves who needed magic to survive would end up perishing. This simply couldn’t be allowed to happen.
“Orders Sir?” Sythegar Cailos was there with the brunt of the Grin forces who were venturing into Coldara.
“I am leading a group of Grin for a recon mission as well as checking out some things for the Kirin Tor. You shall be leading the brunt of the Grin forces granting us cover from alliance. Sweep Coldara and then move west if you find no resistance.”
Cailos nodded and then yelled to his squad’s captains to get moving. In moments the disciplined Grin were on the move looking for something to bleed. Shadiel looked over his personal squad. Eydrana, Sharda, Apollymmi, and Mooseknukle were ready to go and just waiting for the Blood Mage to start them off.
“Move out,” Shadiel ordered.
Apollymmi hesitated and then approached the new Warlord. Shadiel knew what it was about, he had heard reports of the new Death Knight who had come to Stonard seeking the Grin and more specifically seeking Shadiel El Shadoroth. Shadiel had been in Dalaran at the time and had missed the knight’s visit. The mage had thought the man would give up, instead other reports came of a Death Knight asking for him at Agmar’s Hammer.
“You should at least talk to Errubus, he came a long way to see you.” Apollymmi spoke softly and then moved with the rest of the Squad.
Shadiel tried to ignore her words. He wanted to pretend this situation wasn’t happening during such an intensely dangerous time. He knew though that life in the Grin was always like this. There was never a good time to take care of these kinds of matters. He would deal with it another day. There was Dragon scouting to be done tonight.
