The air was cold around him. He could see his own breath crystallize in front of him. The sunlight slowly began to open it's giant eye to the land around him and it made him feel whole again.
Ashenrock laid back and gazed longingly into the sky. The brilliant lights above him a reminder of the souls of his ancestors. He could hear the gentle lapping of the waves against the shoreline and the sounds of the giant turtles stirring from their slumber.
It had been far too long since Rock had returned to his favorite place among the Trolls of Revantusk...and this would be the last time he'd have the chance for quite some time.
A voice interrupted his blissful meditation. "My son, you have finally found your destiny. You must lead them to greatness and end this war." The voice trailed off and he could feel her sit down beside her. Narra Wildmane had been his teacher and mentor in his youth. She had known all along of his fate. She had tried to prepare him the best she could.
"Why didn't you tell me that I would end up as their leader?" He asked quietly.
"Would you have believed me?"
Ashenrock smiled and let out a small chuckle. "No. Probably not."
Narra began to lament "You have become a powerful druid, Ashenrock. You are adept in many forms of the Druid now. You excel where most fail due to your open mindedness. Even now...you are able to control your Feral thoughts while you fight as a Moonkin. You can give life as quickly as you can take it away. The only thing that you are missing is experience and gear."
Rock sat up and shook his head. "I am but a servant of the wild." He then stopped and thought for a moment. "You know that I have to put aside my druid beliefs while I tend to our cause. I cannot serve the order and lead the Grin. One contradicts the other. I have to be able to lead the Grin without the limitations posed by the Druid."
Narra looked at him with pride "You know exactly who you are now. The order will be here whether you suspend your beliefs or not. You can be both leader and druid...you just have to be able to balance the two."
Ashenrock stood and stretched, yawning while doing so. "I am Grin forst and Druid second now, Narra. I only pray hat Therazane will forgive my actions."
